If you follow Millennial Marketing, you know that our passions lie in three places: our community, women, and young entrepreneurs. With this year’s Galentine’s Day Brunch, we were able to connect and impact all three categories! I have received so much love and support from local women since starting this company two years ago, many of whom I had never even met in person, that it felt like we needed something just for the girls. Black Eyed Suzie's and I partnered up to create an opportunity for women who have been cheering each other on via social media to meet in person and become IRL friends and advocates!
Galentine’s Day Brunch 2020 was attended by women of all ages, professions, and with interests across the board from Harford County, MD and the surrounding areas. Women that would otherwise have no way of connecting and building relationships are now planning new partnerships in our community! If nothing else, it was a blast getting dressed up, eating the best brunch in town, and taking photos with the girls.
As they arrived, guests were offered a glass of Berry Moscato Punch, which was delicious, appropriately feminine, and garnished with a little chocolate decoration - because why not. Suzie’s also offered our group punch bowls, pitchers of flavored mimosas, bloody mary’s and more. Devon was behind the bar all afternoon, but kept the party going with a killer playlist and endless drinks!
Ya'll know I love a good mimosa, but everybody knows Black Eyed Suzie's has the best brunch in town and they did not disappoint for our event! The Suzie's team not only entertained me as I tied 100 balloons to anything and everything, but happily offered to rearrange the whole area and hang decor with fishing line all over the restaurant. They're always a dream to work with and the FOOD- omggg. For this event, they created a limited menu for us and everything was INCREDIBLE. #brunchdoneright
Throughout the event, ladies were encouraged to have a drink, mingle, enter the drawing for our giveaways, take photos, and write something inspiring on our Encouragement Wall. The Encouragement Wall is a fun and creative way for guests to sign their name next to a quote, lyric, or inspirational message that we’ll feature on our Instagram stories over the next several weeks.
Black Eyed Suzie’s even created a custom Step and Repeat for us to use for this and future events that we work on together. It featured both of our company logos and was such a fun backdrop for our photoshoots!
With all of the local support we had for this event, we were able to give away gift cards, baskets, and other prizes to over a dozen women, plus dozens more went home with goodie bags and favors! We even had talented local boudoir photographer, MD Bombshell, capture all of the best moments!
Feedback from the event was so positive that we will be making this an annual event! Next year you can expect a different layout, more giveaways and prizes, some interactive games and networking prompts, and a few special guests! We’re already so excited!
